BIW Awarded $87 Million Dollar Contract

BATH, ME (WGAN)- Our info partners at Channel 8 report that Senator Angus King and Senator Susan Collins announced that an $87.2 million dollar contract was awarded to Bath Iron Works by the Department of Defense.

The money will be used for improvements and upgrades for Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers and Oliver Hazard class Frigates.

The work is expected to be finished by February 2019.
