Portland’s water district issued a boil order for several islands in Casco Bay after a water main break Wednesday morning on Little Diamond Island.
Portland’s Water District received reports of low water pressure Wednesday morning.
A precautionary boil order was in effect for Peaks, Little Diamond, Great Diamond, House, and Cushing islands.
City Spokesperson Jessica Grondin said it’s not clear when repairs can be made because getting equipment to the island depends on the tides.
