Boston Man Pleads Guilty to Illegal Firearm Possession in Maine

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) A Boston man with three previous felony convictions pled guilty Wednesday to being a felon in possession of firearms.

According to United States Attorney Halsey Frank, 27-year-old Keon Shine traveled to Gray, Maine where he rented and fired guns at a shooting range. Officers identified Shine from videos he posted from the range on his Snapchat.

Shine is prohibited from possessing firearms after three felony convictions for assault and battery in Massachusetts dating back to 2011.

Shine and Dane Mitchell, who accompanied Shine to the shooting range, both face up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
