Another Maine graduate has been killed in a terrorist attack overseas.

Jonathan farmer, a 2003 Bowdoin College graduate, was killed in Wednesday’s suicide bombing in Syria. The 37-year-old Army Chief Warrant Officer was from Boynton, Florida.

Farmer was one of four Americans who were killed in the attack, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

Bowdoin president Clayton Rose released a statement:

“Jon was part of a long and inspiring list of Bowdoin graduates and community members who served and are still serving the common good in the US military. Sadly, he will now join those across the generations at our College who are memorialized on our campus and in our hearts for the ultimate sacrifice made on our behalf.”

It happened a day after 1996 Hebron Academy graduate Jason Spindler was killed in a terrorist attack in Kenya.
