STANDISH, Maine (WGAN) The boyfriend of a woman found dead in Standish over the summer has been indicted for murder.

Shannon Moss with the Department of Public Safety said 34-year-old Brandon Libby was arrested Friday afternoon in Hollis without incident.

He was charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend, 29-year-old Amanda Brown. In June, she was found dead at the home in Standish they shared with their two children.

Brown’s death was ruled a homicide and the cause was determined to be a gunshot.

In July, the Portland Press Herald reported that Brown had filed a protection from abuse application on behalf of the couple’s two children, and it was approved by a judge. It prevented Libby from having contact with Brown or their children.

Libby was indicted by a Grand Jury on Thursday.
