Brewer man charged with setting Christmas morning fire

BREWER, Maine (WGAN) Police have charged a Brewer man accused of setting fire to a home Christmas morning.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office says 30-year-old Julio Orsini was arrested Tuesday and charged with arson. He’s accused of setting fire to the home at 20 Maple Street in Brewer, causing significant damage to the duplex.

Investigators say the fire started in the entry way to the building around 12:30 a.m. Christmas morning. No one was home at the time.

Orsini, who lives on the same street, was taken to Penobscot County Jail.
