Bronx man charged in connection with Maine drug trafficking ring

BRONX, New York (WGAN) A Bronx man connected to a drug trafficking ring in Maine involving 30 people has been arrested in New York.

The Bangor Daily News reports that Bassilio Liranzo is charged with aggravated heroin trafficking and was taken into custody on May 23rd. He was charged as a fugitive from justice and waived extradition in Bronx County Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The first 25 people connected to the trafficking ring were arrested in a series of raids in Hancock and Washington counties on May 2nd.
