Bus strikes woman in downtown Bangor, police confirm

A pedestrian was struck by a bus in downtown Bangor Saturday afternoon, police confirm.

A Community Connector bus was turning off Hammond Street onto Main Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. when it collided with a woman in her 70’s.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a local medical center for treatment. No one else was injured.

The Bangor Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction team, along with its Criminal Investigation Division were on scene Saturday.
