Investigators say drag racing may have been the cause of a deadly crash in Casco on Wednesday.
The crash happened Wednesday just before 7 a.m. on Tenney Hill Road. Two cars were heading north when one of them left the roadway and struck several trees.
19-year-old Dylan Chretien of Bridgton died at the scene. Another occupant in the vehicle, 20-year-old Nicholas Centofanti of Casco, was in critical condition at Maine Medical Center on Wednesday.
Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce said there is a belief the two cars were drag racing, and that speed is likely a factor for the car that crashed into trees.
