A 40-year-old Casco man faces charges after being accused of stabbing his landlord Thursday.

Both the landlord and tenant live at the property however in separate portions of the home.

Deputies say Abdul Hamed Feroze got into a fight with the 42-year-old landlord outside a home they share on Evans Drive when he stabbed the landlord in the upper thigh with an edged weapon.

Officers say they rendered medical aid to the stabbing victim by placing a tourniquet on the affected limb to stop the bleeding. The landlord was taken to a hospital in Bridgton and is expected to recover.

Feroze was taken to the Cumberland County Jail on charges of  Elevated Aggravated Assault, a Class “A” offense.

Bail has not been set at this time.
