Chase through multiple Maine towns lead to arrest of Winthrop man and his passenger

A Winthrop man is accused of leading police on a chase through several towns on Monday.

Police found 31-year-old Stone Perry speeding on Route 1 in Brunswick following a tip about a truck taking off after a theft Monday afternoon.

Perry is accused of failing to stop and leading officers on a chase into Freeport, back into Brunswick and then into Durham where he went off the road and got stuck in the mud.

Perry was arrested and faces several charges including fentanyl possession, criminal speed, and eluding an officer.

His passenger was also arrested.
