An 8-year-old child died and three others were injured in a crash in Standish.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, the crash happened Saturday morning at the intersection of Chadbourne Road and Middle Jam Road.

Authorities say 8-year-old Owen Oates of Standish died at the scene.

75-year-old Danilo Warrick, 46-year-old Kerry Oates, and 51-year-old Vincent Oates, all of Standish, are in critical condition.

Police say icy conditions played a role in the crash.
