FALMOUTH, Maine (AP) A climate scientist who filed a whistleblower complaint against President Donald Trump’s interior secretary is set to speak in Maine for the second time this week.

Joel Clement is scheduled to speak at Maine Audubon in Falmouth on Thursday night. He was a leading official in climate change policy in the U.S. Department of the Interior before he was demoted, and he later resigned.

Clement was reassigned last year after he warned about dangers faced by Alaska Natives in the climate change era. He accused Trump and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke of poor leadership in the face of a warming world.

Clement’s a Maine native. Audubon says he’ll talk about why he spoke out.

Maine Audubon says the event’s sold out. Clement also spoke at Bates College earlier this week.
