A family in Brooklin, Maine lost their home and 16 dogs in a fire.

According to the Ellsworth American, the fire broke out Friday at a home on Bay Road. No people were inside the home, but the dogs inside couldn’t be saved.

The community is rallying to help the family rebuild, with a GoFundMe set up to raise money.

A spaghetti supper fundraiser is also being held on Saturday.

Investigators said the cause of the fire will likely remain unknown due to the extent of the damage.
