Jameson Elementary and Loranger Middle School in Old Orchard will be closed this week due to multiple probable COVID-19 cases, superintendent John Suttie announced Sunday.

“This time will enable our RSU 23 Health Team to thoroughly investigate each school-related case, consult with the Maine CDC and make a determination on safely reopening schools as soon as we are able,” Suttie wrote in a letter sent to students and families.

Old Orchard Beach High School will remain open for in-person learning.

Suttie will provide another update on the schools on Friday, December 4.
