The administration of Governor Janet Mills has updated it’s guidance for schools and recommends York County schools proceed with a hybrid model.

The color-coded coronavirus risk advisory system has been changed to yellow for York County, which recommends that schools allow students in the classroom for part of the week, with remote learning for the rest of the week.

Most schools in the state are already planning on implementing a hybrid model.

The change comes as the State CDC monitors an uptick in cases in York County, in part because of two ongoing outbreaks, as well as suspected community transmission.
