Crash in Canton leaves 1 dead, 4 injured, including 3 children

The cause of a crash in Oxford County on Tuesday that left one man dead and four others injured is under investigation.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. on Pleasant Street, which is part of Route 108, in Canton.

Two vehicles heading in the opposite direction crashed, killing 43-year-old Aaron Hastings and leaving the driver of the other vehicle, a 19-year-old man from Rumford, with life-threatening injuries.

Hastings was traveling with three child passengers between the ages of 12 and 15, who were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
