Crash in Casco leaves motorcyclist dead, child passenger critically injured

A motorcyclist from Casco was killed and their juvenile passenger suffered serious injuries in a crash on Thursday evening.

Police say 34-year-old Kyle Lunn crossed the centerline on Roosevelt Trail near Watkins Flowers in Casco Thursday morning, striking a sedan driven by 26-year-old Michael Peterson of Naples just before 9 p.m.

Lunn was killed in the crash and a juvenile passenger on the motorcycle was taken to Maine Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Peterson was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
