Crash involving school bus causes damage to Naples convenience store

NAPLES, Maine (WGAN) There were no reports of injuries after a school bus collided with another vehicle in Naples and forced it against the wall of a convenience store.

Police say the crash happened Monday around 8:30 a.m. on Roosevelt Trail. There were 31 students on board the bus at the time.

A woman behind the wheel of a Subaru Outback was attempting to turn into the Lake Region Convenience store parking lot when the bus struck her vehicle from behind. The Subaru was pushed into an empty propane tank cage and struck a third vehicle in the parking lot.

Police said the propane rack was forced through the store’s exterior wall, causing significant damage. No one inside the store was injured.

Police are still investigating and say speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
