Crews extinguish boat blaze on Portland’s waterfront

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Firefighters responded to a boat fire on Portland’s waterfront Tuesday morning.

According to the Portland Press Herald, crews were called to the Portland Fish Pier around 9:20 a.m. to find the boat ablaze while in the water. Neither of the two people on board were injured, but one was treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes. It’s not yet clear what caused it.
