A fire aboard a cruise ship docked in Portland has forced the cancellation of the cruise.

The fire broke out in the generator room on the Ocean Navigator Wednesday morning. American Queen Voyages announced that the mechanical issues, as well as poor weather in the forecast, prompted them to cancel the cruise from Boston to St. John.

All 128 passengers and 82 crew members were accounted for when the ship was evacuated. One crew member was being treated for burn injuries at Maine Medical Center.

The Coast Guard and other agencies are investigating the cause of the fire.
