PORTLAND, Maine  (WGAN) – After returning from his work release assignment Wednesday evening, a Cumberland county jail inmate started showing symptoms of illness. The 41 year old, being held on a probation hold for traffic offenses, was not feeling well and had an elevated body temperature. The jail has quarantined the man while he waits for COVID-19 testing results, and the work release program has since been suspended.
