Cyclist hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in Portland

Police in Portland say a bicyclist hit by a car last week remains in critical condition.

Police said the cyclist, 36-year-old David Campell of Portland, was hospitalized for treatment following the accident, which happened on Washington Avenue at East Kidder Street around 6:15 p.m. Friday.

Police say the driver was also identified as 50-year-old Christopher Legassy of South Portland. No charges have been filed at this time.

More information is expected once the investigation concludes.
