Death Of Inmate Reported At Maine State Prison


The Maine Department of Corrections on Wednesday confirmed the death of a prisoner at the Maine State Prison in Warren.

A press release from MDOC said David Sirois died Tuesday just before 1:30 a.m.

His death was attended by staff at the prison.

Consistent with the department’s policy and protocols at the Office of the Maine Attorney General, state police and medical examiner were notified.

Sirois was sentenced to 3 years at the prison for unlawful sexual contact.

The release did not include a cause of death.
