Police in Portland say the death of a 23-year-old woman who was found earlier this month was a homicide.

23-year-old Bethany Kelley, an unhoused woman from Portland, was found unresponsive on Kennebec Street near Chestnut Street on November 18th. She had last been the previous night.

Police were investigating it as a suspicious death and said Wednesday that an autopsy confirmed her death was a homicide.

The cause of death is being withheld, and no other information was released.
