Deaths at Poland home ruled double-homicide

Police are investigating a double homicide in the town of Poland.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check at 205 Tripp Lake Road around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Deputies found the bodies of two males when they entered the home. They were identified as 21-year-old Shoeb Mohamed Adan of Springfield, Massachusetts, and 16-year-old Mohamed Aden of Lewiston, Maine.

Both deaths were ruled homicides by the medical examiner.

Investigators were still conducting interviews and following up on leads on Friday. Authorities said there’s no known threat to the public.
