Despite a tough year for the travel industry, Delta Air Lines announced Monday that it would be offering daily nonstop service between Portland and Minneapolis/St. Paul beginning in the spring.

The Portland Jetport said the airline would offer the flights beginning May 28th, making it the fifth nonstop Delta flight from Portland.

“We certainly recognize that continued improvement on the public health side of things is necessary to make this new service successful,” said Zach Sundquist, Assistant Airport Director. “We want to make sure that when you and your family are comfortable with flying again, we have the service that you’re looking for.”

The flights will leave Minneapolis/St. Paul in the morning and touch down in Portland by midday.
