(NEWCASTLE, Maine (WGAN) A close call for a Newcastle home owner Sunday night.

Stan Brown was home alone when a fire broke out. He’s hard of hearing, but his dog woke him up.

Both managed to escape the fire.

No word on what caused the fire.
