Two people from Brunswick face animal cruelty charges after police seized 44 dogs and a bird from a home on Friday.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, summons were issued to Kyle and Diane Enman on charges of failing to give animals proper indoor shelter, failing to give animals humanely clean conditions and other charges.

The home on River Road was condemned by Brunswick Fire Chief Jeff Emerson due to its bad condition.

State animal welfare agents, the Androscoggin Valley Humane Society, the Coastal Humane Society, and the Lewiston Police Department’s animal control officer assisted police in removing the animals from the home.
