Driver and passenger injured in single-vehicle crash in Madison

MADISON, Maine (WGAN) Two people were injured in a crash in Madison on Friday morning.

According to CBS 13 news, the crash happened around 8 a.m. on Weston Avenue. A 33-year-old Madison man who was behind went off the road and struck a utility pole. He was hospitalized with serious injuries, but his condition was unknown as of Friday afternoon.

His passenger, a 27-year-old Madison woman, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe speed and alcohol may been factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
