There were no injuries when a box truck hit a school bus in Raymond Tuesday morning.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened on Route 302 between Main Street and Webbs Mills Road in Raymond around 6:30 a.m.

A box truck owned by a Windham construction company and being driven by 39-year-old Lance Vigue of Gray struck the bus while it was stopped. The bus’s lights were flashing and the stop arm was deployed at the time of the crash.

The truck driver said they were distracted by something that had fallen in the cab of the truck and didn’t see the bus stopped.

No one was injured. The truck had minor damage and the stop arm on the bus was damaged.

Vigue was charged with Passing a Stopped School Bus and Driving to Endanger. He’s scheduled to appear in court in October.
