Driver thinks they’re in reverse, rams through building and sends 2 to hospital

Two people were injured after a car crashed into Sprague’s Nursery on Union Street in Bangor Friday afternoon.

According to WABI, a car drove through a black metal fence bordering the outdoor section of the store, sending two people to the hospital, one who was run over by the car.

Sgt. Wade Betters of the Bangor Police says the driver of the vehicle stepped on the gas while accidentally still in drive instead of reverse.

The condition of the injured people and the identities of those involved in the crash are unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
