BIDDEFORD, Maine (WGAN) The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says a Massachusetts man has been charged with selling crack cocaine and fentanyl throughout Biddeford and Saco.

44-year-old Frank Barrett of Hyde Park, Massachusetts was arrested in the Hannaford parking lot in Biddeford on Wednesday. For the past three months, agents from the MDEA York District Task Force have been investigating Barrett for selling crack and fentanyl in the Biddeford-Saco Area.

Agents made several undercover purchases of crack cocaine from Barrett. He was arrested without incident. Agents seized about 10 grams of fentanyl.

Barrett’s charges were elevated due to a prior felony drug conviction in Massachusetts in 2012.

Barrett was transported to the York County Jail where he awaits an initial court appearance.
