Two people from Massachusetts accused of supplying fentanyl in the Greater Bangor area were taken into custody on Wednesday.

Joel Peralta and Lawrence Camillo, both 26 years old, were arrested at the Hollywood Slots Casino where they had been staying. Both are from Lowell, Massachusetts.

Drug agents and police seized 670 grams of fentanyl, 110 grams of cocaine, and $14,000 in suspected drug proceeds from their rooms.

Camillo was charged with drug trafficking, which was elevated to an aggravated charge in connection with the overdose death of a woman in Bangor in 2021.

Both men are expected to face more charges.
