The truck came to rest on the driver’s side and the cab had extensive damage.

Bennett died at the scene from his injuries and had to be extricated from the truck.

Police say Bennett may have suffered a medical issue.

The dump truck is owned by Crooker Construction of LLC Topsham, where Bennett was employed,

Route 126 was closed for several hours, while deputies and state troopers investigated the crash.

Sabattus and Monmouth Fire and Police Departments, as well as United Ambulance, assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
