East Millinocket Police Search for Missing Man Who May Be Armed

East Millinocket Police are searching for a missing 41-year-old man who they say fled from them after making concerning statements of self-harm to family members.
Officers say Travis Stewart has been missing since Wednesday and may be armed with weapons.
They say a search by air for Stewart is underway with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team, and there has been a request for air support from the Maine Forest Service Aviation Unit.
The public is asked to not engage in independent search efforts, as information suggests Travis may be armed.
