Edgecomb man dies in Wiscasset crash

An Edgecomb man was killed Wednesday in a crash in Wiscasset Wednesday morning, police say.

Investigators say 71-year-old Thomas Sikes was driving a Toyota Tacoma on Bath Road when he collided with a Dodge Caliber that was traveling in the opposite direction.

Sikes was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was 26-year-old Laughlynn Bragg of Wiscasset, who was taken to Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
