Convicted sex offender and former candidate for Maine governor Eliot Cutler faces additional jail time for violating probation.
Cutler appeared in court again on Friday looking to loosen his probation requirements, including no longer needing to participate in specialized sexual behavior therapy.
Cutler was originally convicted for possessing child sexual abuse material in 2023 and has since been arrested six times for probation violations.
The judge on Friday sentenced Cutler to six months in prison with credit for time served, which leaves him with a 73-day sentence.
