ALFRED, Maine (AP) A defrocked Massachusetts priest who already served a prison sentence for abusing an altar boy is going to prison again — this time in Maine.

A judge on Friday ordered Ronald Paquin to serve 16 years in state prison for sexually abusing an altar boy during trips to Maine in the 1980s. Justice Wayne Douglas said he didn’t detect remorse from Paquin.

Two men testified in the Maine case that they were altar boys when Paquin invited them on trips in the 1980s and repeatedly assaulted them. But Paquin was convicted on charges involving only one of them.

Paquin, who’s 76, already served more than 10 years in prison in Massachusetts for sexually abusing another altar boy in that state.
