FatFace Stores in Maine to Close

FatFace - Faceboook

Retail clothing chain FatFace is closing its three stores in Maine as part of a wider shutdown of all 23 of its stores in the U.S. and Canada.

The Maine stores are in Portland, Kennebunkport and Camden, which will be closing on September 3rd.

The Express reports FatFace is transitioning its North American operations to an online-only format.

Increasing costs and economic uncertainty have made maintaining physical stores in the US unsustainable.

The retailer is concentrating on its 170 brick-and-mortar stores in the UK.
