Fire at Auburn apartment building displaces nearly a dozen people

AUBURN, Maine (WGAN) 11 people were left without a place to live after a fire at an Auburn apartment building on Friday.

According to CBS 13 news, officials said multiple people were inside the building on Center St. There have been no reports of any injuries.

A passerby said they called 911 after they saw smoke coming from the basement.

The fire chief said there were three apartments in the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
