A second fire in less than two months at an apartment building in Lewiston is being investigated as arson.
The fire at 425 Main Street Tuesday night comes after another fire on July 12 that displaced 32 people.
Investigators say the fire in July was accidental, while the one reported this week was intentionally set.
Witnesses said homeless people have been sneaking into the building every night since it was condemned.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lewiston Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Division, the Lewiston Police Department, or the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 207-624-7076.
