At least one building is destroyed from a fire at a Machias motel.

WABI reports one of the buildings at the Bluebird Motel was seriously damaged in the fire that broke out in the front of the motel, while avoiding a number of other rooms in the back of the building.

The manager was able to call 911 and evacuate all the guests, although the manager and three people were treated for smoke inhalation at a local hospital.

The Maine fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
