Fire destroys home in Raymond

RAYMOND, Maine (WGAN) No one was injured when a home in Raymond went up in flames Tuesday night.

Fire Chief Bruce Tupper said the fire broke out at the house on Winding Way. According to the Portland Press Herald, crews were sent to the home around 7:45 p.m. but fire had already spread through the home by then.

The residents and pets inside managed to get out in time.

Crews remained at the scene into Wednesday morning putting out hot spots. The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office was also at the home Wednesday to investigate the cause of the fire.
