Fire Heavily Damages Boothbay Harbor Home

Boothbay Harbor Fire - Maine Department of Public Safety


Investigators say an electrical issue is the cause of a fire that left heavy damage to a home in Boothbay Harbor over the weekend.

The fire was reported overnight Saturday shortly after 2:30 a.m., with crews from Boothbay Harbor, Southport, Boothbay, and Edgecomb Fire Departments being called in.

Firefighters say they quickly brought the blaze under control and determined it started on the back side of the residence

No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The fire occurred at 79 Western Avenue in Boothbay Harbor.
