Track Fire in Bailyville - Maine Forest Rangers


Crews are expected to be on the scene of a wildfire in Baileyville for the next week after the blaze ignited over the weekend.

The Maine Forest Service first reported the Track Fire, named for its location off the Track Road, Sunday night.

The fire was last reported to be 20 percent contained as it was burning 30 acres, but was not threatening any buildings or the public.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Forest Service has placed the entire state south of Houlton under “high fire danger.”
