Firefighters save Christmas presents from fire in South Portland

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) No one was hurt and some Christmas presents were saved from a fire in South Portland on Thursday afternoon.

The South Portland Fire Department says the blaze broke out at 30 Chase Street. According to our info partners at CBS 13 news, fire officials said the fire started in the home’s basement and spread into the eaves. No one was home at the time.

The cause is under investigation.
