ALFRED, Maine (WGAN) A former priest accused of sexually abusing two boys in the 1980s has been found guilty.

The Portland Press Herald reports that 76-year-old Ronald Paquin was found guilty Thursday by a York County jury on 11 of 24 counts of sexual misconduct.

Two men who were altar boys say Paquin invited them on trips to Kennebunkport in the 1980s, and say he repeatedly assaulted them on those trips. The jury found Paquin guilty on all charges related to one victim but not both.

Paquin had served more than a decade behind bars in Massachusetts for sexually assaulting an altar boy in that state and was defrocked in 2004. He was released in 2015, then taken into custody again in Maine in 2017.
