A former Scarborough police lieutenant has been indicted for theft charges.

Police say 55-year-old Timothy Barker was indicted by a grand jury for alleged thefts that happened while he was still employed.

Barker, who retired in February after 31 years of service, was indicted after a months-long criminal investigation.
