Four Arrested on Drug Charges in Hancock County

LAMOINE, Maine (WGAN)  Four people have been arrested on drug charges following an investigation in Hancock County.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says they conducted a month-long investigation into the sale of heroin in central Hancock County that included undercover purchases of the drug.

Thursday night, around 9:30 p.m., agents searched the home of Michael and Alicia Kane on Francis Drive in Lamoine.  Police say they seized 51 grams of heroin, which has a street value of $15,000.

The Kanes were both charged with unlawful trafficking and taken to Hancock County Jail where bail was set at $5,000 cash.

Two other people inside the home were also arrested.

Police charged 28-year-old Jamie Biggs from Connecticut with aggravated trafficking.  Biggs’ bail was set at $10,000.

51-year-old Kimberly Andrews from Holden was charged with unlawful possession and bail was set at $1,000.
